Aufsperrdienst Berger covers every one of Vienna's 23 districts — from Innere Stadt in the historic centre to Donaustadt across the Danube, from Meidling in the south-west to Leopoldstadt where our own office stands. Our base at Handelskai in the 2nd district sits at the geographic crossroads of the city: the Donauufer motorway, the Reichsbrücke bridge and the Praterstern transport hub are all within minutes. That means our technicians reach any address in Vienna in 10 to 30 minutes. The price stays the same no matter how far we drive — travel is always included in every fixed price.
Why our Handelskai location reaches all of Vienna fast
Our office at Handelskai 208 in the 2nd district is not a random choice. It gives direct access to Vienna's major traffic arteries — and that translates into the shortest possible arrival times in every direction.
Routes to the inner districts
From Handelskai our technicians drive via Lassallestraße to Praterstern, then straight down Praterstraße into the 1st district. Via Franz-Josefs-Kai and the Ringstraße we reach the 1st, 3rd, 4th and 9th districts in 12 to 20 minutes.
Good to know for newcomers: Vienna's districts are numbered 1-23 in a rough spiral from the centre outwards. The district number is the first digits of the postal code — so 1010 is the 1st district, 1220 is the 22nd. If you know your postal code, you know your district.
Routes south and west
Via the Gürtel ring road and Triester Straße we reach Favoriten (10th district) in 18 to 25 minutes. Towards Meidling (12th) the route runs via the Südosttangente motorway. The western districts — Penzing, Hietzing, Rudolfsheim-Fünfhaus — are accessible via the Westbahnhof corridor and Hadikgasse in 15 to 28 minutes.
Routes across the Danube
For Floridsdorf (21st) and Donaustadt (22nd) we cross the Danube via the Reichsbrücke and continue along Wagramer Straße. Brigittenau (20th) is reached via the Nordbrücke in just 12 to 18 minutes. Even the newer residential areas along Erzherzog-Karl-Straße and in Seestadt Aspern are within 30 minutes.

| West | 6th, 7th, 8th, 13th, 14th, 15th | Gürtel → Westbahnhof / Hadikgasse | 15–28 min |

Building types across Vienna — what our technicians prepare for
If you are new to Vienna, you will quickly notice that buildings vary enormously between districts. This matters for locksmith work because different buildings have different lock types:
Period buildings — Altbau (districts 1–9, parts of 12th, 15th, 16th): These grand 19th-century apartment houses have tall doors with box locks (Kastenschlösser) or classic cylinder locks. They are typically fast to open without damage. If you live in a Gründerzeit building, this is your most likely scenario.
Social housing — Gemeindebau (10th, 11th, 16th, 20th, 21st): Vienna's famous municipal housing blocks use standardised locking systems. Building entry is via intercom. Interior doors usually have standard cylinder locks that we open routinely. If a neighbour can buzz you through the main door, the job is straightforward.
New developments (2nd Nordbahnviertel, 10th Sonnwendviertel, 22nd Seestadt): Modern residential complexes with electronic access systems, smart locks and multi-point locking. Our technicians carry specialised tools for current security technology.
Same price regardless of building type
Whether it is an old box lock in the 7th district or a security door in a Seestadt new-build — our prices depend on the door type, not the district. A door opening from €60, a security door from €99. Travel always included.
Locked out? Tell us your district — we will give you the arrival time and fixed price immediately.

We maintain detailed pages for six high-demand districts — Innere Stadt, Leopoldstadt, Landstraße, Favoriten, Meidling and Donaustadt. But we come to every district. Whether Ottakring, Hernals, Döbling or Simmering — the process is the same everywhere:
